Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Account: your email address and name.

What you save in the Service: scholarships you track, deadlines, steps, notes, links, funding amounts and sources, and the names, roles, emails and phone numbers of referees you add.

Settings and activity: whether reminders are on, your sponsor's email if you add one, your country if you choose it, and basic usage and sign-in records.

Payment: payments are handled by our payment provider. We receive confirmation that you paid, not your card details.

2. What stays on your device

Interview practice recordings, your practice history, your weekly-task ticks and your document checklist ticks are stored in your own browser on your own device. We do not receive them. If you clear your browser data they are removed.

3. What is sent to AI services

Writing reviewer: the text you paste is sent to an AI service to produce feedback for that one review. We do not store the text.

Automatic interview scoring: only the audio of your answer, not the video, is sent to be turned into text, and the text is then sent to an AI service to be scored. We do not store the audio or the text.

Please do not paste passport or ID numbers, bank details or passwords into any field.

4. Why we use your information

To run the Service, sign you in, save your work, send the reminders you ask for, show your shared progress to a sponsor you choose, give support, keep the Service secure and meet legal duties. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Who we share it with

Only service providers who help us run the Service, under their own data protection terms: hosting and database, email delivery, payment, and the AI and speech-to-text services described above. We may also share information if the law requires it.

If you turn on sponsor sharing, your sponsor sees your scholarship names, deadlines, statuses and funding summary through your link, and never your private notes.

6. Referees' information

If you add a referee's details, you are responsible for having their permission to keep them in the Service. We use those details only for your tracker.

7. Where your information is stored and how long

Your information is stored with our hosting providers, which may be outside Nigeria. We take reasonable steps to protect it, including secure connections and limited access. We keep your account information while your account exists and for a reasonable period afterwards for legal and record-keeping reasons, then delete or anonymise it.

8. Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your information, to object to some uses, or to withdraw consent where we rely on it. Email info@profoundeducational.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, or to your local regulator.

9. Cookies

We use a sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in, and local storage in your browser for the features described above. We do not use advertising cookies inside the app.

10. Children

The Service is intended for students aged 16 and over. If you are younger, a parent or guardian should set it up and agree to this policy for you.
